Is anyone familiar with this program? We are going to use it with our daughters. It is designed to train the brain in the numerous skills that comprise what is called auditory processing. It says the primary purpose is the bring the auditory system into balance. We believe it may help with some of their processing difficulties. We are blessed that we have friends that have purchased it and are letting us borrow it.
no i ahve not heard of it but have you read the book " the brain that changes itself" it talks a lot about this kind of stuff and is really a good base for ideas about how to help kids like ours.
ReplyDeleteI thing that listening programs are totally helpful for auditory processing issues - I was trained in the ILS (Integrated Listening Systems) program and protocal last year have had good results using the Focus with our FASD son. I need to use it more with my AS son but he is so sensative it's hard for him.
