My heart is hurting...

Today is Beth and Ann's ninth birthday.

Today I received a phone call from the geneticist. We have opened another door into my girls. We have more issues than we thought. I am grieving for my girls today. This is so hard.

The doctor said he doesn't exactly know what it all means. We just have to watch them as they grow. He told me to continue as I am doing. He will see them next June.

God is so big. He knew this before they were born. He picked us for these girls.

The doctors told my mother I would never walk and talk. Obviously, I walk and talk. My mother set the standards higher and I was successful. I am hoping and praying I can use this to help my girls overcome.

We have a lot to digest right now. These girls are ours forever and ever. We will overcome.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

God has the perfect plan for all of us.

  3. Praying for you and your family today. It is not easy to hear news. When UAB Gen told us about Stevens condition, the outlook ddint seem promising for him. We are taking one day, one month, one year at a time! Hang in there! If you ever get to M town, let me know and we can do coffee!

  4. HI, I just came upon your blog and read back through some of your blog and tried to catch up. I want to tell you that I give you praise for taking in 2 little girls that sound like they needed a family like you many years ago. I am so sad that there has to be children put in these conditions but Thankful that their are families like yours to be there for them. I wish that there was a way that these children could get taken out of the bad homes before they are this old because there is so much damage done then they are headed in to puberty and have to deal with all those issues along with those that arise from their rough childhood that they have had to deal with. I commend you and all who take them in and raise them to be beautiful children/adults. I also saw that they went to geneticist and I have a cousin who has a son that has a gene problem, He has to many x and not a 16th chromeosome and was wondering if you know anything about such a thing or did you daughters get tested for something totally different? I hope you do not think that I am intruding on your privacy but I am searching for any information I can find for her. Thanks and hope you will get back to me if you have time. Best of Luck with your beautiful family.
